ur work takes us throughout the world to extend the love of Jesus Christ to hurting people. For over 35 years, Samaritan's Purse has done our utmost to follow Christ's command by going to the aid of the world's poor, sick, and suffering. We are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the world with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Newsletter
Our monthly newsletter from Franklin Graham highlights the latest work we do around the world. You can also learn about our most urgent prayer needs and ways you can help.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to needy children around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. This program provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas--Jesus Christ, God's greatest gift.
World Medical Mission
World Medical Mission, the medical arm of Samaritan's Purse, serves Christian hospitals and clinics in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East by arranging short-term mission trips for physicians, dentists, and other medical personnel who volunteer for ministry overseas. We also provide and install critically-needed equipment and supplies.
Children's Heart Project
The Children's Heart Project identifies children with life-threatening heart disease in countries that lack technology and training, and matches them with North American hospitals and surgeons that donate their time and services.
HIV/AIDS Prescription For Hope
Samaritan's Purse emerged as a leader of the international Christian response to HIV/AIDS by organizing the global Prescription for Hope conference in 2002 in Washington, D.C., with 900 participants from 87 countries. Since then, Samaritan's Purse has held regional conferences in Africa, Asia, and Latin America; sponsored dozens of grassroots HIV/AIDS programs around the world; developed programs to help local churches and ministries teach prevention, offer care, reduce stigma, and show Christ-like compassion to victims of the deadly disease; and supported ministries engaged in orphan care.
Emergency Relief
Samaritan's Purse specializes in meeting critical needs for victims of war, disaster, famine, and epidemics in the world's most troubled regions. We match resources to needs, personnel to situations, capabilities to opportunities. We often work through ministry partners already on the scene of a crisis.
Community Development
Samaritan's Purse community development programs transform villages and neighborhoods, and help families become self-supporting. Livestock and farm projects supply nutritious food and a means of income. Vocation training provides desperately needed job skills. School construction and education projects give children in remote areas an opportunity to break the cycle of ignorance and poverty.
Children's Programs
Jesus Christ showed special compassion for children (see Mark 10:13-16). In the ministry of Samaritan's Purse, we strive to follow His example. In countries around the world, our projects are providing needy children with food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and education. Most important of all, these boys and girls experience the love of Jesus Christ.
Evangelism
Evangelism is at the heart of everything we do. Our most important mission is to provide spiritual help by proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. We accomplish this by demonstrating God's love through our relief projects, building churches, providing evangelism training and materials, and by supporting local ministries engaged in this vital work.
