Flooding Devastates Communities in Louisiana and Texas

Rain poured down on North Louisiana and East Texas in recent weeks. Historic flooding has now devastated communities there. Waters are still receding in many areas and thousands of people are in need.

Samaritan’s Purse has teams on the ground in West Monroe and Bossier City, Louisiana, as well as in Orange County, Texas. We are working hard to clean out homes and ready them for future repairs. Hundreds of homeowners have turned to us for help.

Samaritan’s Purse volunteers recently helped homeowner Cynthia Sanders and her 76-year-old mother, Emma Lee, whose home also flooded.

Though the pain is ongoing, Cynthia says her tears have become tears of joy in response to the help, hope, and love brought to her by our teams in Jesus’ Name.

“God knew we needed help here and He sent good people to help us,” she said. “Now my spirit is crying out of joy.”

Please pray for homeowners struggling right now in Louisiana and Texas.
