In Liberian towns where TV is still a novelty, people stand shoulder-to-shoulder to watch the JESUS film projected on a large screen. Throughout rural Cambodia, Christian workers use audio players to teach Bible stories to those who cannot read. In remote areas of Bolivia, local churches are being built up through classes in evangelism and discipleship. In dozens of countries worldwide, Samaritan’s Purse is mobilizing faithful believers to proclaim the Good News by providing evangelistic training and a wide variety of outreach tools. Nearly half of all children living in Bolivia's highlands suffer from anemia due to malnutrition. After meeting critical needs with emergency relief supplies, we began a housing project that provided homes to 5,000 destitute families. In developing nations, a wheelchair is a treasure that few can afford. For as little as $75 we can provide a wheelchair for a crippled child or a man or woman who is struggling to accomplish even simple tasks around the home. A man in Macedonia named Vasil was overjoyed when he was fitted with chair that met his special needs. “For me, having a wheelchair is like having legs,” he said. World Medical Mission

World Medical Mission was established in 1977 to assist general surgeons who wanted to volunteer for short-term mission trips. Today, hundreds of volunteer Christian physicians, dentists, and other medical personnel work in mission hospitals and clinics around the world. The story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives a clear picture of God's desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. For 35 years, Samaritan's Purse has followed Christ's command by aiding the world's poor, sick, and suffering. We are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the globe with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
