The Best is Yet to Come
Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world. A country of great biodiversity, Madagascar’s terrain ranges from the beautiful beaches in the North to the Baobob tree forests in the South. A small number of shoe box gifts were first distributed in Madagascar in 2002.
Nationwide efforts have grown drastically since then. In 2008, more than 145,000 shoe boxes were given out in some of Madagascar's most remote locations. The nation’s totals are staggering—since 2002, more than 400,000 children have had an opportunity to know the Savior's love through the gift of a shoe box!
