Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in being a part of Operation Christmas Child
Because of the tremendous response from people like you, more than 7.6 million shoe box gifts were collected last year. These gifts have been distributed worldwide to share the love of Jesus Christ and the joy of Christmas with hurting boys and girls. Together with you and the more than 100,000 dedicated volunteers in the U.S., we know we can accomplish even more this year. There are several ways you can partner with us:
MAKE THE BIGGEST IMPACT BY VOLUNTEERING YEAR-ROUND
Dedicated volunteers work year-round to promote and pray for Operation Christmas Child. Teams of people are coming together around the country to serve in the specific areas of prayer, church relations, community relations, media relations, and shoe box collection. Opportunities are available to use your gifts in these areas. To volunteer year-round with Operation Christmas Child, go to the Volunteer Interest Form
.
SERVE AT A COLLECTION SITE DURING NATIONAL COLLECTION WEEK
An exciting way for groups and individuals to serve the Lord through Operation Christmas Child is to volunteer at one of over 2,000 Collection Sites. Opportunities to volunteer are available during National Collection Week, November 16-23, 2009.
INSPECT AND PREPARE SHOE BOX GIFTS AT A PROCESSING CENTER
Millions of lives will be touched by the shoe box gifts collected this year. Each precious gift is carefully inspected and prepared for overseas shipment. Opportunities are available to volunteer in the Processing Centers in November and December. Processing Center registrations begins on the first Monday in August - August 3rd. Contact the Processing Center scheduler at 800-442-9120 on or after August 3 to schedule your group's visit.
