At Samaritan’s Purse, our mission is to equip the Church with the resources needed to mobilize an effective response to the greatest pandemic of our generation.
The first step to reduce the spread of HIV is education. But we cannot stop there, because real, lasting change comes through the transformative power of Christ, demonstrated by the compassion of His people.
What you can do…
Serving overseas? With 2.7 million people contracting the disease each year, HIV is likely affecting the region where you work. Incorporate our resources into your existing projects.
Going on a short-term missions trip? Add HIV/AIDS training to your itinerary. You don’t have to be a medical professional to use our materials. The There is Hope manual and Basic Facts flipchart will give you all the information you’ll need to teach others. By making HIV education a priority, you’ll inspire churches around the world to address this issue in their communities.

HIV Prevention Education for Youth The There is Hope materials are designed to teach young people about HIV/AIDS and encourage them to make healthy choices. Topics include basic facts about HIV transmission, stages, prevention, safe and unsafe activities, and testing. Each lesson begins with a devotion, and Scripture is used throughout to reinforce God’s plan for sex and marriage. Includes a manual, flipchart, and illustrated storyboards. |

Encouraging Marital Faithfulness Unfaithfulness in marriage is one of the largest contributors to the spread of HIV. Our One Love educational resources are designed to help couples and those considering marriage to build healthy relationships that will last a lifetime. Course topics include core needs of men and women, types of communication, conflict management, and effective communication strategies. Includes a manual, flipchart, and illustrated storyboards. |
