Album To Benefit Haiti Relief

A diverse group of Christian musicians are helping bring relief and comfort to earthquake survivors by contributing their talents to a new album called “Healing4Haiti.”

"Come Together Now," the song written by Michael W. Smith, David Mullen, and Cindy Morgan to remind people to help earthquake victims in Haiti, will be the lead track for the album. The project also features songs by Israel Houghton, DecembeRadio, Kari Jobe, The Afters, Hawk Nelson, Flyleaf, Canton Jones, Lincoln Brewster, Mary Mary, and the Tommy Coomes Band.

Proceeds from album sales will benefit Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association earthquake relief efforts.

“Every artist and every individual who can use their talent and ability to shed light on those in need, when it’s all added together, it makes a huge difference,” said Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. “My prayer is that God will use Healing4Haiti to touch the hearts of this nation to give generously to the suffering people of Haiti.”

The album will be available for purchase and download on March 2. More details will be provided as the release date approaches.

“Come Together Now,” the multi-artist, genre-crossing song released under the banner Music City Unites For Haiti, is now available for download. All proceeds go to benefit Samaritan's Purse and the American Red Cross. Watch the music video for the song below.

“I think Haiti has been one reason for a lot of us to come together and count our blessings and know that every day is a gift,” Smith said. “When something like this happens, I think it can rock you to your core, and you start to see the brevity of life and you start to think, ‘What the heck am I doing with my life?’ You start to be more proactive about reaching out to somebody who needs a hand — just little things. You don’t have to cross the Atlantic to be a missionary.”
