CONFERENCE INFORMATION

Prescription for Renewal is a conference tailored for medical professionals interested in the mission field. The Prescription for Renewal conference is October 8-10, 2010 at the Billy Graham Training Center near Asheville, North Carolina.

The colorful mountains of North Carolina provide a unique and beautiful setting where Christian doctors, dentists, nurses, and their spouses can come together for a time of spiritual and professional renewal. Matthew says that after Jesus fed the 5,000, “He went up on a mountainside by himself to pray” (Matthew 14:23, NIV). The Cove is a great place to step back and take a look at the world again through the eyes of the Great Physician.

MISSIONARY MEDICINE SEMINAR

Doctors attending Prescription for Renewal can earn up to 11 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ at an optional Missionary Medicine Seminar, October 7-9, 2010. This program ia also eligible for 11 nursing contact hours. To read more, click here.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

CHECK IN: Registration for the optional Missionary Medicine Seminar begins at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7. Prescription for Renewal check in begins at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, followed by a buffet-style dinner and opening session. Our weekend together concludes with a worship and communion service on Sunday, October 10, followed by a box lunch.

FEES: The Prescription for Renewal conference is $375 per person. The optional Missionary medicine Seminar is $250 per person. Spouses may attend the Missionary Medicine Seminar sessions and eat meals without charge.

PAYMENT: A deposit of $75 per person must accompany registration. Deposits are non-refundable unless cancellation is made at least 30 days prior to the start of the seminar. The remainder of the fees will be due upon arrival.

Additional Information:
Videotapes and photographs are taken during many conference events. Registration constitutes permission to use your picture if it appears on video or photograph. Audio tapes of some sessions are available to participants at a nominal fee at the conclusion of the conference.

All programs and lodging are open to adults ages 18 and over, and to youth ages 15-17 when accompanied by an adult. We are not able to accommodate infants or children under the age of 15. Childcare facilities are not available.

All facilities are accessible to physically challenged persons.

Pets are not permitted at the training center or inns.

Speakers

Pastor John MacArthur is the pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, where more than 8,000 people attend weekly services. He has written hundreds of books and Bible study guides and is an international conference speaker. Pastor MacArthur is also president of The Master’s College and Seminary, and is the featured teacher on radio and television, with the Grace to You media ministry. In 36 years of ministry, Grace to You has distributed more than 13 million CDs and audiotapes worldwide.

William Franklin Graham IV is the third generation of Grahams to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ under the banner of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Will is the grandson of Billy Graham and oldest son of Franklin Graham. Will serves as Assistant Director of the Bill Graham Training Center at the Cover and Associate Evangelist of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Will has shared the Gospel with more than 125,000 people in North America and Hong Kong, with over 10,000 people making personal commitments to Christ.

Musicians

Dennis Agajanian has been called the fastest guitar picker alive and is one of the most accomplished acoustic guitar players of our time. Dennis has been named Musician of the Year six times by The Christian Country Music Association, and received the association’s Living Legend Award in 2008. Dennis has shared his faith in Jesus Christ through his music worldwide, playing at Billy Graham Crusades, Franklin Graham Festivals, Harvest Crusades with Pastor Greg Laurie, international USO Shows for American troops, and many other venues.

John and Anne Barbour have ministered to the Body of Christ as singers and songwriters for more than 20 years. They are members of the Tommy Coomes Band and have traveled the world with the Crusade ministry teams of Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, and Greg Laurie. They have also recorded several albums. Whether they are leading worship or performing, the Barbour’s music encourages believers to a greater love for God and others.
