A Community Collection
Watch a PBS special report about why residents in Mitchell, Indiana participate in Operation Christmas Child
During National Collection Week, Mitchell Manor in southern Indiana serves as its community’s collection site. The nursing home hopes to collect 3,500 shoe boxes locally this year, and its parent company, Life Care Centers of America, has set a goal of 350,000 nationwide.
“What is really important to us is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ goes inside of every single box,” said community member Diana Nuchols.
