Church Relations & Social Media Specialist (502)

N. Wilkesboro, NC - Challenging opportunity for capable self-starter with strong social media and relationship-building skills to support the North American Projects Volunteer Ministry Team by utilizing internet and extranet technologies to recruit and maintain relationships with churches and volunteers.

Responsibilities include serving as point person in the design and maintenance of the volunteer extranet site; proactively seeking ways to utilize social media (including Facebook and Twitter) to mobilize churches and volunteers to participate through U.S. Disaster Relief; producing copy for the extranet, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media, and developing other strategies for engaging churches and volunteers in US disaster relief.

Desirable candidate will be able to work in a fast-pace work environment, have demonstrated writing abilities, and proficiency in web content management and other social media including Facebook and Twitter.

Local applicants strongly preferred (no relocation with this position).
