OCC Shoebox Processing Center Positions

Charlotte, NC - The Operation Christmas Child SHOEBOX PROCESSING CENTER is now accepting applications for seasonal positions beginning in mid-November until project completion in mid-December.

We are seeking qualified, committed Christians available to work a full schedule Monday through Saturday. First shift and second shift opportunities are available. First shift hours are 8 am to 4 pm. Second shift hours are 3 pm to 10:30 pm.

Team Leaders - Candidates with supervisory, team or volunteer leadership experience are needed to lead teams in warehouse, shoebox processing, mail and data entry operations.

Forklift Operators - Must have fork lift certification and experience on sit-down forklifts.

Warehouse Workers - Unloading and loading large boxes containing shoebox gifts. Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs.

Truck Drivers - Experienced drivers with a current Class A CDL needed to switch trailers and make occasional short runs.

OCC Regional Director, Northwest

Tacoma, WA - Seeking an experienced manager of volunteers to lead the Operation Christmas Child efforts in the Northwest Region. The Regional Director will recruit, select, train, and lead year-round volunteers.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in volunteer management, strong written and verbal communications skills, and ability to motivate and lead volunteer teams in implementing program goals including: recruiting and retaining participation in the program through churches and community groups, facilitating prayer support, building media awareness, and coordinating a regional volunteer run effort to collect gifts for the neediest children worldwide.

The Regional Director will also relocate for 3-4 weeks during late November and mid-December to serve on a Processing Center Management Team where shoebox gifts are inspected and prepared for overseas shipment.

Responsibilities include travel throughout WA, ID, MT, OR and AK. Bachelors Degree preferred.

OCC Mail & Data Processing Center Positions

Charlotte, NC - The Operation Christmas Child MAIL & DATA PROCESSING CENTER is now accepting applications for seasonal positions beginning in mid-November until project completion in mid-December.

We are seeking qualified, committed Christians available to work a full schedule Monday through Saturday. First shift and second shift opportunities are available for these positions:

Data Entry Keyers (alpha-numeric & 10 key) - Responsible for the keying of information from a scanned image on a computer screen. Must possess excellent keying skills with a high level of accuracy. First shift hours are 8 am to 4 pm. Second shift hours are 4:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

Mail Processors - Includes Mail Sorters, Processors and NDP Operators. First shift hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Second shift hours are 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Director, International Health Programs

Boone, NC - The Director for International Health Programs will serve in a senior technical advisory capacity to establish, build and expand integrated health programming focused on Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, including malaria, HIV, TB, Nutrition and Disaster Response.

Position will cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships with bilateral donors and partners; oversee program strategies with Samaritan’s Purse field offices and partners; create and establish health program protocols; build internal capacity to design and manage effective health programming; and coordinate the technical review of new program proposals for funding consideration.

Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) or advanced degree in related field and a minimum of five years' related international field program experience required, along with keen written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to problem solve, manage stressful situations, and handle multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software also a must.

Position requires frequent international travel.
