OCC Int'l Logistics Manager

Boone, NC - Immediate need for experienced professional to lead the International Logistics Team in implementation, management and administration of supply chain and logistical systems for transshipment of approximately 5 million shoebox gifts each year to more than 60 countries.

Position handles coordination of activities with International Regional Directors, OCC Domestic Logistics Manager, freight forwarders, clearing agents and shipment consignees. Seasoned leadership experience, negotiation skills, relationship building and complex problem solving ability are essential to this position, along with experience developing international logistical solutions, booking and tracking shipments of containers to worldwide destinations, requesting and evaluating vendor bids, supervising document preparation, and negotiating with government officials, customs brokers, freight forwarders and carriers.

Position also requires keen attention to detail, previous export/import experience, and strong Excel and database management skills.

Requires 30-45 days of domestic and international travel. Supervises 2-4 subordinates. A working knowledge of Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese or other foreign languages is a plus, but not required.
