“I come from a needy home, however, at church I’ve been taught that God takes care of our needs and He always provides. I was very sad because one of the requirements at school is to wear long socks, but I didn’t have any. I had blisters on my feet from not wearing socks and they made walking difficult. My parents told me they would pray to God and He would provide the socks. I know that God knows about our needs and that He takes care of them, even the small ones. I received a box at a special party where many children, including me, accepted Jesus in our hearts. When I thanked God for my box, I was sure that I would find beautiful things. Although, I looked at other girls opening their boxes and saw how happy they were, I didn’t want to open mine. I wanted to make sure I would find what I most needed- my long socks. When I finally opened my box, I cried of happiness. There were my socks! The box also included a doll, pencils, soap, a towel, and many other things. Thank God and Samaritan’s Purse for the great help.”
