Official Contest Rules for the Christian Schools Campaign Contest<\/h2> \r\n \r\n
\r\n\r\n

By participating in this contest (the \u201cContest\u201d), you (\u201cContestant\u201d) accept and agree to the following Terms and Conditions:<\/p>\r\n\r\n

    \r\n\r\n
  1. Dates<\/strong>
    \r\n The Contest runs from July 29, 2024 to November 22, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. EDT (\u201cContest Period\u201d).<\/li>\r\n\r\n
  2. Eligibility:<\/strong>
    \r\n The Contest is open only to Christian Schools in the continental United States participating in the Operation Christmas Child project. The schools must be represented in the Contest by a legal resident of the continental United States who is 18 years or older at the time of entry and is the School\u2019s Operation Christmas Child Project Leader (the \u201cContestant Representative\u201d) (together the school and representative are the \u201cContestant\u201d). You must comply with all Terms and Conditions. Employees, immediate family members of employees, and directors or contractors of Samaritan\u2019s Purse or the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association are not eligible for prizes.<\/li>\r\n\r\n
  3. Entry Requirements<\/strong>
    \r\n In order to have a valid Entry, a Contestant must (a) timely provide the number of Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes that the Contestant collected in 2023, (b) commit to increase their shoebox count during the Contest Period, (c) timely submit their final shoebox numbers at the end of the Contest Period, and (d) have a final shoebox number at the end of the Contest Period that exceeds the Contestant\u2019s number for 2023. If all (a)-(d) criteria are met, Contestant will have a valid Entry, and then Contestants\u2019 Contest Submissions will be judged according to established criteria to determine the Contest Winner.\r\n <\/li>\r\n\r\n
  4. Contest Submissions<\/strong>
    \r\n
      \r\n
    1. In addition to a valid Entry, Contestants must then submit a Contest Submission consisting of an original work of art (such as, but not limited to, bulletin board, parade float, decorated lockers, shoebox display, poem) created by the Contestant.<\/li>\r\n
    2. Contest Submissions must be in one of the following file formats uploaded to the Contest Landing Page: JPEG, PDF, or video link.<\/li>\r\n
    3. Contest Submissions shall not contain any material that infringes another\u2019s rights, including, without limitation, material that violates intellectual property rights, including, without limitation, copyright, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property rights, or include trademarks, logos, insignia, location signage, photographs, artwork or sculptures, except those owned by Samaritan\u2019s Purse or the Contestant. <\/li>\r\n
    4. Contest Submissions shall not include the images or names of minors. (For clarity, drawings or depictions of generic people are acceptable, but images and names of identifiable minors are not permitted.) Contest Submissions shall not contain the name or image of any other individuals who have not expressly authorized the Contestant to include their name or image in the Contest Submission. <\/li>\r\n
    5. Samaritan\u2019s Purse reserves the right to disqualify any Contest Submission for any reason, including violation of these Terms and Conditions. <\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n <\/li>\r\n\r\n
    6. Submission Rights<\/strong>
      \r\n You retain rights to your Contest Submissions; however, by entering the Contest, you grant Samaritan\u2019s Purse a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of your Contest Submission, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, in furtherance of Samaritan\u2019s Purse\u2019s non-profit purpose. Samaritan\u2019s Purse is not obligated to provide any design credit, although it may choose to do so. Samaritan\u2019s Purse shall not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with any uses of your Contest Submission.\r\n <\/li>\r\n\r\n
    7. Winner Selection<\/strong>
      \r\n
        \r\n
      1. Entries and Contest Submissions will be judged by Samaritan\u2019s Purse in its sole discretion.<\/li>\r\n
      2. Entries will be judged based on the adherence to all Entry Criteria. <\/li>\r\n
      3. Contest Submissions will be judged based on (i) creativity, (ii) enthusiasm for shoebox packing, and (iii) Gospel-focus. For clarification, these elements relate to the work of art, not the submission method. For example, the criteria apply to the subject of a video, not the quality of the video.<\/li>\r\n
      4. Three(3) Winning Contestants (\u201cWinners\u201d) will be selected.<\/li>\r\n
      5. The Winners will be notified by November 25, 2024 following the end of the Contest Period. Notification will be made by Samaritan\u2019s Purse to the Contestant Representative via email.<\/li>\r\n
      6. Samaritan\u2019s Purse reserves the right to disqualify any Entry or Contest Submission for any reason. Winners will be the final decision of Samaritan\u2019s Purse.<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n <\/li>\r\n \r\n
      7. Prizes<\/strong>
        \r\n
          \r\n
        1. Each of the three (3) Prizes consists of a trip for the Contestant Representative, a student at the Contestant school, and that student\u2019s parent\/guardian (student and guardian are referred to herein as \u201cGuests\u201d), on an Operation Christmas Child Vision Trip in 2025. The Vision Trip will take place in the first quarter of 2025, with specific location and dates to be confirmed in the future and determined in the sole discretion of Samaritan\u2019s Purse. <\/li>\r\n
        2. The Contestant is responsible for selecting the student to participate on the trip. The student must be at least 14 years of age as of the departure date of the Vision Trip. <\/li>\r\n
        3. The Contestant Representative and Guests must be able to provide the documentation necessary to travel and be willing to sign all trip forms required by Samaritan\u2019s Purse to participate on a Vision Trip. <\/li>\r\n
        4. Location and dates of the Vision Trip are subject to change by Samaritan\u2019s Purse in its sole discretion. For the Winner and Guests, Samaritan\u2019s Purse will provide (i) Roundtrip, coach airfare; (ii) accommodations for nights during the Vision Trip; and (c) all meals and transportation during the trip. Winner and Guests are responsible for their own transportation and meal costs during transit to and from the departure airports at the start and end of the Vision Trip.<\/li>\r\n
        5. If no eligible submissions are entered, no Prizes will be awarded. Samaritan\u2019s Purse reserves the right to make a Prize substitution in the event that force majeure events make the Prize impossible or inadvisable in the sole discretion of Samaritan\u2019s Purse. Force majeure as used herein means acts of God, war, government regulations, disaster, strikes, civil disaster, or other events of a similar nature or force out of the control of Samaritan\u2019s Purse.<\/li>\r\n
        6. Winners may not transfer or substitute a Prize except at Samaritan\u2019s Purse\u2019s sole discretion.<\/li>\r\n
        7. Winners are responsible for reporting and paying all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. It is the sole responsibility of Winners to provide information to Samaritan\u2019s Purse in order to facilitate receipt of a Prize, including completing and submitting any tax forms when necessary. It is also the sole responsibility of Winners to satisfy any applicable reporting requirements.<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n <\/li>\r\n \r\n
        8. Verification of Eligibility and Claiming of Prize<\/strong>
          \r\n
            \r\n
          1. Prize awards are subject to Samaritan\u2019s Purse\u2019s verification of Winners\u2019 identity and eligibility.<\/li>\r\n
          2. To receive a Prize, Winners must comply with instructions provided by Samaritan\u2019s Purse. If a confirmation email from the notified Contestant Representative is not received by Samaritan\u2019s Purse within four (4) calendar days of Samaritan\u2019s Purse notifying the Winner, the Prize is forfeited. <\/li>\r\n
          3. In the event of a disqualification or forfeiture, Samaritan\u2019s Purse, in its sole discretion, may award the Prize to an alternate Contestant.<\/li>\r\n <\/ol>\r\n <\/li>\r\n\r\n

          5. Release<\/strong>

            1. BY ENTERING A SUBMISSION, YOU RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS SAMARITAN\u2019S PURSE, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL ACTIONS, CLAIMS, EXPENSES, AND LIABILITIES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST OR ANY USE OF A SUBMISSION AS AUTHORIZED BY THESE OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n
            2. BY ENTERING A SUBMISSION, YOU RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS FACEBOOK FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL ACTIONS, CLAIMS, EXPENSES, AND LIABILITIES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE CONTEST.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n <\/ol><\/li>\r\n\r\n
            3. Publicity:<\/strong>
              \r\n You authorize Samaritan\u2019s Purse to use your name, social media handle, likeness, Entry, and Contest Submission in any media or promotional material worldwide concerning the Contest without further compensation or consideration.<\/li>\r\n\r\n
            4. General Conditions:<\/strong>\r\n\r\n
                \r\n
              1. This Contest is void where prohibited.<\/li>\r\n
              2. Information collected from you will be subject to Samaritan\u2019s Purse\u2019s privacy policy.<\/li>\r\n
              3. By entering the Contest, you give Samaritan\u2019s Purse permission to contact you regarding subject matter related to the Contest as well as the ministry work of Samaritan\u2019s Purse.<\/li>\r\n
              4. Samaritan\u2019s Purse is vested with sole authority to interpret and apply the Official Contest Rules.<\/li>\r\n
              5. Samaritan\u2019s Purse reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the Official Contest Rules at any time and will post any amendments on the contest landing page.<\/li>\r\n
