He\u2019d seen a dozen combat deployments with the Army. She was a \u201cfoul-mouthed\u201d Marine who thought God had forgotten her. Neither felt worthy of forgiveness. His forgiveness was a gift with no strings attached.<\/p>\r\n                \r\n                <p>\u201cThe chaplain told us all we had to do was accept it,\u201d said Tripp, who\u2019d been haunted by post-traumatic stress and memories of conflict. The couple found peace last summer as Tripp and Katie received the Lord Jesus Christ and were baptized at Samaritan Lodge Alaska.<\/p>\r\n                \r\n                <p>The Butusovs joined many others who began new lives in Christ through Operation Heal Our Patriots, starting their walk alongside Him who <i>\"is near to the brokenhearted\"<\/i> (Psalm 34:18, ESV).<\/p>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n        <\/section>\r\n\r\n        <section class=\"space\">\r\n            <header>\r\n                <h2 class=\"h1\">Help Bring Hope to Military Marriages<\/h2>\r\n            <\/header>\r\n            \r\n            <div class=\"grid half\" style=\"padding-block: 0 2.618em\">\r\n                <p class=\"h3 gray-text\" style=\"font-weight: 300\">When you give to Samaritan\u2019s Purse, <strong class=\"white-text\">you enable us to minister to struggling military couples who need to find restoration in Jesus Christ.<\/strong> Every year, our Operation Heal Our Patriots project welcomes military couples\u2014both active-duty and veterans\u2014to Alaska for Biblically based marriage enrichment and refreshment.
