Shoeboxes built\r\n                                                        online go to the ends of the earth to children in some of the\r\n                                                        hardest-to-reach places\u2014whether deep jungles, city slums, steep\r\n                                                        mountainsides, or hundreds of remote Pacific islands. No exceptions can be\r\n                                                                made. We require a ratio of one chaperone to every four\r\n                                                                youth under the age of 18. The primary responsibilities\r\n                                                                of chaperones are to ensure the safety and appropriate\r\n                                                                behavior of their youth, to advise them on the proper\r\n                                                                procedures for their assigned tasks, to help them have a\r\n                                                                great experience, and to not lose sight of the\r\n                                                                significance of their work.\r\n                                                            <\/p>\r\n                                                        <\/details>\r\n                                                        <details>\r\n                                                            <summary>What is different about this compared to\r\n                                                                traditional shoebox fulfillment?\r\n                                                            <\/summary>\r\n                                                            <p>For this project, shoebox gifts built online are packed\r\n                                                                with items selected by online donors and prepped for\r\n                                                                shipment, rather than the inspecting of shoebox gifts\r\n                                                                traditionally packed by donors.\r\n                                                            <\/p>\r\n                                                        <\/details>\r\n                                                        <details>\r\n                                                            <summary>What will we be doing in the processing center?\r\n                                                            <\/summary>\r\n                                                            <p>Volunteers pack the boxes with the items that were chosen\r\n                                                                by the online donor and support the packing line by\r\n                                                                restocking items, taping and placing boxes in cartons,\r\n                                                                and stacking and palletizing the cartons. Each job is\r\n                                                                important, and every volunteer plays a vital role in\r\n                                                                spreading the Gospel message to hard-to-reach areas.\r\n                                                            <\/p>\r\n                                                        <\/details>\r\n                                                        <details>\r\n                                                            <summary>What should I wear?\r\n                                                            <\/summary>\r\n                                                            <p>We want your experience at the processing center to be an\r\n                                                                enjoyable one, so please make proper provisions to be\r\n                                                                comfortable. Open-toed shoes and sandals are a safety\r\n                                                                hazard in the warehouse, so please wear closed-toed\r\n                                                                shoes appropriate for moving around the warehouse floor.\r\n                                                                We recommend wearing layered, casual clothes because\r\n                                                                there likely will be some open dock doors, which can\r\n                                                                cause the temperature inside the warehouse to vary.\r\n                                                            <\/p>\r\n                                                        <\/details>\r\n                                                        <details>\r\n                                                            <summary>Can we take breaks? What about meals?\r\n                                                            <\/summary>\r\n                                                            <p>\r\n                                                                There is a break area in the processing center. <!-- Vending\r\n                                                                    machines are stocked with cold water, soft drinks,\r\n                                                                    juices, and snacks. There will not be any on-site food\r\n                                                                    vendors. You may bring your own meals and snacks with\r\n                                                                you to the processing center and enjoy them in the break\r\n                                                                room. Please be aware that all personal bags and coolers\r\n                                                                are subject to inspection. Ice is not provided; however,\r\n                                                                you may bring your own ice in coolers. Before these shoeboxes can make their way to children across the globe, they first must be carefully inspected and prepared for international shipment. Tens of thousands of volunteers serve annually at our processing centers. You can participate in this dynamic ministry by registering to process shoeboxes <strong>in November and December following National Collection Week. (Increase or decrease the\r\n                                                            group size on your reservation to indicate the number of\r\n                                                            volunteers who will attend.)\r\n                                                        <\/p>\r\n                                                        <p><strong>Dress in layers.<\/strong> Please wear closed-toe\r\n                                                            shoes you will be comfortable standing in for long periods,\r\n                                                            and warm, layered, casual clothes as the temperature inside\r\n                                                            the warehouse can vary.\r\n                                                        <\/p>\r\n                                                        <p><strong>All volunteers must be at least 13 years of\r\n                                                            age<\/strong>, regardless of a student's grade level. Due\r\n                                                            to the warehouse environment there can be <strong>no\r\n                                                            exceptions<\/strong>. For\r\n                                                            every four youth, at least one chaperone is required.\r\n                                                        <\/p>\r\n                                                        <p><strong>Pray!<\/strong> Prayer is the foundation for\r\n                                                            everything we do through Operation Christmas Child, and our\r\n                                                            desire is for every detail of the project to be covered in\r\n                                                            prayer. We encourage you and your group to spend time in\r\n                                                            prayer as you prepare for your experience at the processing\r\n                                                            center. Then, your group will proceed to Volunteer Placement,\r\n                                                            where someone will host your group. Next, orientation and\r\n                                                            training will take place with your team coach.\r\n                                                        <\/p>\r\n                                                        <\/details>\r\n                                                        <details>\r\n                                                        <summary>How do I make the most of my time in the processing\r\n                                                            center?\r\n                                                        <\/summary>\r\n                                                        <p style=\"margin-bottom: 0\"><strong>Be flexible<\/strong>. Due to the fast-paced environment of the warehouse, you may be asked to do different tasks. Some examples include removing financial contributions from the shoeboxes and inspecting gifts as well as putting shoeboxes in designated cartons. Some sit-down jobs may be available.\r\n                                                        <\/p>\r\n                                                        <p><strong>Training<\/strong>.
