Bongolo Hospital, Gabon

Bongolo Hospital, Gabon has a need of Pediatric coverage for several months in 2017, while long term missionary is recovering from surgery.  Fluency in French required.

Bongolo Hospital is a 158 bed hospital located in Labemba, Gabon. There is also an HIV/AIDS treatment center and a busy outpatient department which sees an average of 500 patients per week. Bongolo is family friendly with a mix of national and expatriate staff. It presently serves one third of the country’s population. It is preferred that short term volunteers have at least 19 days, including travel, available for service. The individual volunteer is responsible for the costs associated with the trip. World Medical Mission personnel will provide assistance in arranging all travel including international flights, in-country travel, visas, permits and/or medical licensing.

Volunteers fly into the capital city of Libreville. The following day fly local commercial airlines or mission flight (if available) to town of Mouila and then driven two hours to Bongolo Hospital.

French is the primary language and charting is done in French.
