Hospital Loma de Luz, Honduras – Pediatrician with NICU/PICU Experience – September 2017 thru January 2018

Hospital Loma de Luz – Established in 2003 by the Cornerstone Foundation, Hospital Loma de Luz is located in Balfate, Honduras, 37 miles east of La Ceiba and situated on a hill overlooking the shore of the Caribbean Sea.  It is a 30,000 square foot, 20 bed modern full-service medical care facility.  The hospital sees an average of 12,000 patients per year through the out-patient clinic, emergency room, surgical and in-patient services.  There are approximately 70,000 people in the catchment area of the hospital and referrals are accepted from all over the country.  These patients are ministered to through the on-going Chaplaincy program at the hospital, as well as by physicians and many of the national staff.

URGENT NEED:  Recruiting a Pediatric Physician with NICU/PICU experience for any time from September 2017 thru January 2018 (for at least 2 weeks).  Independently Spanish-speaking volunteers preferred, but due to the urgency of the need they will consider individuals who need a translator.

World Medical Mission (WMM) volunteers are self-funded or raise financial support to cover all expenses associated with their trip.  WMM will assist with coordinating all logistical aspects of the trip including medical licensure, work permits, visas, flights, in-country transportation and accommodations, travel insurance, etc.  There is no charge for our services.
