Meridith Mimi Treen - Holly Lake Ranch, TX

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on September 3, 1959, to Louis Somers Treen Jr. and Marie Constance (Connie) Tawresey Treen. Meridith passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, at her home in Holly Lake Ranch, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Miller Treen.

She is survived by her dear friend, Judy LeFlore; sisters, Susan Treen Flynn (Edward), Elizabeth (Libby) Treen Gold (Nick), Sheryl (Sher) Treen Freese (John), and Rebecca Barrett Treen; and many dearly loved nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mimi graduated from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Ohio, in 1977, with high honors. She graduated from Heidelberg University with a Bachelor of Science and Ohio State University Medical School as a medical doctor. She served her country as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during medical school. Her internship and residency were completed at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and fellowship in neonatology at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

After completing her fellowship, she accepted an offer from North Dallas Neonatal Associates. She ended her 31-year career as medical director of the neonatal intensive care unit at Medical City Medical Center in Dallas. She was greatly loved and respected by all who knew her.

In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, exercising, putting together jigsaw puzzles in her "puzzle palace," and cuddling and playing with kitties. She was an active and faithful member of Holly Brook Baptist Church.

Visitation and memorial service to be held at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas, with Pastor David LeFlore presiding.

Services will be held at Restland Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, beginning with visitation at 1:00pm. The service will follow at 2:00pm, also in Memorial Chapel, with a graveside committal at 3:00 at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in Whispering Waters II.
