Roy Harper Bray - Leo, IN

Roy Harper Bray, age 96, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Cedars in Leo, Indiana. He was born in Woolsey, Georgia, to the late Zella Harper Bray and Eva Janette Bray (Brown) and was the last remaining of six children.

Roy accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at age 12 and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Safety Harbor, Florida, where for many years he served as a deacon.

He worked his entire career for Delta Airlines, beginning in 1945 and retiring after 42 years. He also served his country in the Navy from 1946 to 1948. He married Anne Dixon Harper of Clover, South Carolina, in July 1952 and was married 66 years until her death in 2019. He lived a colorful life and had a special passion for fishing, helping people in need and telling stories.

Surviving are children, Mike Bray of Plano, Texas, Ron (Sylvia) Bray of Houston, Texas, Cindy (Michael) Lederman of Leo, Indiana, and Gary (Susan) Bray of Murrysville, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A family graveside service will be held July 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Marion National Cemetery.
