Sally Oglesby Sink - Thomasville, NC

Sally Bond Oglesby Sink, 72, passed away on June 27, 2020, at the Hospice Home of High Point. Sally was born on May 22, 1948, in Asheboro to the late Earl and Grace Oglesby.

She grew up attending First Baptist Church of Asheboro. She was a 1966 graduate of Asheboro High School and attended Wingate College. She was a gifted writer and a talented artist.

Sally was married for 52 years to Mark Sink, her high school sweetheart. She was a preacher's wife for 43 years, and they served together at the following churches: Greystone Baptist, Mt. Carmel Baptist, Peace Baptist, Macedonia Baptist, Park Place Baptist, and Lankford Memorial Baptist.

Sally was a medical transcriptionist for 30 years. She loved Jesus and her family. She was an excellent cook, avid reader, passionate sports fan, and had a love for all animals, especially her cat, Lilly.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by Martha Grace Oglesby (sister), Hewell Oglesby (brother), Bill Oglesby (brother), and Betsy Orcutt (sister). She is survived by her devoted husband, Reverend Mark Sink; son, Jason Sink (Stephanie); daughter, Anna Lowe (Todd); grandson, Max Lowe; granddaughter, Maggie Lowe; sister, Helen Holt; sister, Jane Lucas; and a host of dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In light of current restrictions, a private memorial will be held at a future date.
