Gaza Relief Press Kit

Since July 26, Samaritan’s Purse has sent multiple relief flights to help suffering families in Gaza—using both their 757 and DC-8 cargo planes—to deliver hundreds of thousands of pounds of ready-to-use supplemental food (RUSF). These nutrient-rich, peanut-based pouches, provided by MANA Nutrition in Georgia, are specially formulated to fight malnutrition and are used worldwide. So far, Samaritan’s Purse has distributed tens of thousands of these calorie-dense packets to women and children at organized distribution sites. The organization has also expanded its efforts by establishing First Aid stations at these same locations, where medical teams are caring for anyone in need. This work is part of Samaritan’s Purse’s broader response to the suffering of civilians on both sides of the conflict in Israel and Gaza since October 7, 2023.
