David Robert Richardson passed away surrounded by family on Feb. 16, 2020, in Port Angeles. David was born to William and Elizabeth Richardson in Port Angeles. He attended Crescent School in Joyce, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History from Seattle Pacific University, and earned a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Columbia Seminary.
David loved the outdoors, fishing, backpacking in the Olympics, and gardening organically. He was passionate for classical music and singing Handel’s Messiah with the Atlanta Symphony—for which he had a solo part—was the highlight.
David's faith fueled his compassion for people. He served the homeless in Atlanta, engaged in humanitarian efforts in Jamaica and reconciliation projects in Bosnia, and taught Hawaiian and Micronesian 6th and 7th grade students in Hawaii. David was a tower of support to friends and family at times of pain and crisis in their lives.
