Dr. Jerry M. Foster, 70, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Franklin, Tennessee, on Monday, May 27, 2024. Jerry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patty Foster; two daughters, Jennifer Foster and Hannah Pino; and son-in-law, Tyler Pino.
Jerry practiced oncology for 23 years serving the Knoxville community for most of his career before moving to Franklin. His passion for helping others continued beyond his retirement as he volunteered with Samaritan’s Purse across the world in Haiti, Iraq, Nepal, and Puerto Rico. Most recently, he enjoyed gardening and maintaining his six acre property. He and his wife were deeply involved in their church community at Fellowship Bible Church.
Jerry attended North Carolina State University, medical school at Duke University, and completed his residency and fellowship at Vanderbilt University.
Jerry will be remembered as a loving husband, father, cherished friend, and prayer warrior. His quiet, gentle spirit will be remembered by the many lives he impacted.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, 1210 Franklin Rd, Brentwood, TN 37027. The memorial service will be followed by a reception with refreshments provided.
