Samaritan’s Purse Deploys Two Disaster Relief Units in The Wake of Hurricane Michael (Press Release)

Response Includes Disaster Relief Specialists, Volunteers, Tools and Emergency Supplies

BOONE, N.C., Oct. 11, 2018—Samaritan’s Purse is on the way to the Florida Panhandle and other hard-hit communities to aid families devastated by Hurricane Michael. This unprecedented storm has destroyed homes, caused widespread flooding and left families in desperate need. The international Christian relief organization is deploying a team of disaster relief specialists and a tractor-trailer stocked with tools and emergency relief supplies to help families recover from the storm.

“Hurricane Michael is the worst storm to hit the Florida Panhandle in the last 150 years. We are praying for everyone affected and preparing to help in Jesus’ Name after the storm passes,” dijo Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse. “Between Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael, we will deploy every Disaster Relief Unit that we have. People are hurting, and we are committed to helping them recover.”

Samaritan’s Purse will mobilize volunteers from across the country to mud-out flooded homes, remove downed trees, tarp roofs and salvage homeowners’ personal belongings.
