An elderly widow is able to buy food and household items for her grandchildren
I’m an elderly widow. When I lived in my home village, I had no work, and I depended on the assistance of my local church. But attacks in that village forced me to flee. My husband and I had three children, but two of them were murdered in the attacks, and the third died from an illness. All five of their children are now in my care. It’s difficult for me to feed and provide for them.
Samaritan’s Purse has held fairs in my village. At these fairs, I am given a ticket and am able to “purchase” food and necessities with the ticket. This allows me to get the items I need most. I was desperate and hopeless. But Samaritan’s Purse has provided for me like a husband would, and now I’m at peace because I have household items and food for my children.
