Oklahoma Tornado Response

Samaritan’s Purse is responding to deadly twisters that pounded the Oklahoma City area. Two Disaster Relief Units were deployed from our North Carolina headquarters before dawn on Tuesday. One will be based in Moore, and the other in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

About U.S. Disaster Relief

Since 1983, Samaritan’s Purse has responded to a variety of disasters, including tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires, and floods, across more than half of the states. While focusing on the poor, elderly, and uninsured, Samaritan’s Purse works to meet the immediate needs of the homeowners by getting them back into their homes.

Samaritan's Purse depends on volunteers to help bring physical help and spiritual comfort to storm victims. We also need people for construction projects, both in the U.S. and overseas.
