A displaced pastor receives aid and learns how to help his church
One night, the rebels surprised my village. They looted all of our belongings and captured five of us. They killed the four others and threw me into a hole that was 14 meters deep. My pelvis was injured in the fall, and it still causes me pain. Once I was rescued, I fled to another village where I became the pastor of a church.
I thank Samaritan’s Purse for thinking of us. As a pastor, I’ve benefited a lot. First, I participated in a conference, where I learned about setting a vision and using tools to promote the development of the church. I’ve also received lessons on how to assist vulnerable people. I’ve also received goods such as agricultural tools and seeds. We thought that we had been left to our sad fate, but God showed us His love through Samaritan’s Purse.
