In Memory Of
Barbara H Frankland - Clinton, MD

Barbara H. Frankland was called home to our Lord in the early morning of Saturday, April 3, 2021.

She was born in Erwin, TN, on April 20, 1938, to Olga and Clinton Helton, the youngest of nine children. Barbara moved to Washington, D.C. after graduating from high school to work at the FBI. She was united in marriage to Harry J. Frankland on March 25, 1960, in Washington, D.C. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2000. They were happily married for 40 years.

Barbara worked for several years with the FBI until the birth of her son in 1960. Throughout the 60s and 70s, she worked part-time for Young Americans for Freedom as an office administrator/bookkeeper. A devout Christian, she volunteered at First Baptist Church of Capitol Heights as their bookkeeper for many years. She and Harry owned several businesses together including Marlton Video store and Barbara's Collectibles, a flea market business. She loved crafts, sewing (especially for her granddaughters), Southern Gospel and Blue Grass music, and catching up with friends and family. Although she lived in the Washington, D.C. area for 64 years, she never lost her southern accent or love for Erwin, TN.

She is survived by her son, Randall Frankland and his wife Christine; three loving granddaughters, Miranda Makary and her husband Adly, Catherine Frankland, and Alisa Rivera and her husband Justin; two great-grandchildren, Carmelo Santino and Martha Anne (due in May); one cherished sister, Zora Andrews; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is loved and missed by all.

Due to COVID-19, her service will be private.
