Betty Rutherford went home to be with her Lord on the morning of Thursday, September 30, 2021. Betty Anne was born December 24, 1938, in Neosho, Missouri, to Chester and Ella McClure.

She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and two sisters, Dorothy Reeves and Kay Viles.

Betty is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dean Rutherford of Union, Missouri; five children, Jim Rutherford of Union, Missouri, Pam Dubuque (Rick) of Pacific, Missouri, Russell Rutherford (Valarie) of Tioga, Texas, Scott Rutherford (Marjorie) of Niantic, Illinois, and Tim Rutherford (Sandra) of Raymore, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, Tiffany Pyle (Zach), Amy Arias (Juan), Ryan Dubuque (Traci), Kristin Carter (Nathan), Sarah Shubkagel, Cara Dubuque, Ella Rutherford, Jonathan Rutherford, Caleb Rutherford, Harmony Rutherford, Melody Rutherford, and Addison Rutherford; and nine great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held on Saturday October 2, 2021, at First Baptist Church, Gray Summit, Missouri. A celebration of life will be held on October 9, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., at First Baptist Church, Gray Summit, Missouri.
