Carol K Davis - Shippensburg, PA

Carol Kough Davis, 91, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Tuesday, December 12, 1933 in Cherry Grove, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Blair and Elma Grace Nonemaker Kough. She was a 1951 graduate of the Saltillo High School, and a 1954 graduate of the Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing. Carol worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years and retired as a Shippensburg Community Nurse.

Carol was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God for more than 35 years. She was a member of the Shippensburg Civic Club and served on civic club committee.

She is survived by one son, Mark A. (wife, Janet) Davis, Newville; one daughter, Suzanne M. (husband, Stephen) Willoughby, Patchogue, New York; five grandchildren, Christiana J. (husband, Christopher) Archer, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Johnathan F. (wife Alexis) Davis, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, William A. (wife, Searrah) Davis, Shippensburg, Ashley L. (husband, Jesse) Bonfiglio, Mooresville, North Carolina, and Benjamin A. (wife, Chloe) Willoughby, Tennessee; seven great-grandchildren, Kilee Grace Bridge, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Kaelyn Annmarie Archer, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Giovanni James Bonfiglio, Mooresville, North Carolina, Roman Davis Bonfiglio, Mooresville, North Carolina, Brynlee Rei Willoughby, Tennessee, Connor Andrew Davis, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Liam Alan Davis, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania; and one sister, Joan Barth, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Franklin Davis, who passed away February 5, 2007; one brother, Edgar Kough and his wife, Jeanann Kough; one sister, Jeanne Wible and her husband, Lee Wible; one brother-in-law, the Rev. F. Louis Barth; one niece, Kathy Sprague; and one nephew, Steven Barth.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with the Rev. Stephen Willoughby officiating. Burial will be private in Cherry Grove Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
