Herbert William Hoyer, 68, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, surrounded by his family in Chicago, Illinois. Herb was a cherished son, brother, husband, father, Opa, and friend to those who were privileged to know him.

Herb was born October 1, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Olga (nee Hochhalter) Hoyer.

Herb is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marion (nee Beil) Hoyer, his daughters, Jenny (Zach) Dombrowski and Becky (John) Napoleon; his siblings, Betty (Jack) Petry and David (Ada) Hoyer; his six grandchildren, Joshua, Valerie, Emily, Josiah, Margaret, and Lydia; along with many other family members and friends who will dearly miss him.

Interment will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Irving Park Cemetery, 7777 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago. Memorial Visitation will be held Friday evening, November 21, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Orchard Barrington church, 1301 S Grove Ave, Barrington, Illinois. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
