Laura Frances Gielow - Aragon, GA

Frances Free Gielow born December 3, 1933, in Aragon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026. Frances was a devout Christian who never met a stranger and found inspiration in every person she witnessed to throughout her days.

Fran enjoyed oil painting, traveling, cultivating her flower gardens, quilt designing, real estate ventures, and making new friends. Fran and her adoring husband Charles retired happily in Senoia, Georgia in 1983. There she became affectionately known as everyone's “Aunt Frances”. Frances’ greatest joy was quality time spent with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her infectious positivity, tenacity, loving nature, unwavering loyalty and deep commitment to her faith.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Ella Free; husband, Charles Gielow Sr; son Charles Gielow Jr.; grandson Harold Gielow and her son-in-law David Burke.

Frances is survived by her siblings Joan Hinton and Sonny Free (Yoshiko); children, Beth Burke, Harold Gielow (Liz) Laura Greene (Wendell) and daughter-in-law Rhonda Gielow; grandchildren, Charles Gielow III, Hunter Holland, Jonathan Gielow, Catie Duncan-Sutton (Joseph), Charlie Gielow (Kristie) Beau Greene (Jessica), Williams Gielow, and Cody Gielow; great-grandchildren, Avali, Cayenne, Keva, Jillian, Tess, River, Hannah, Jackson Boyd, Hudson, and Callum; and great-great grandchild, Asa.

A private service will be held at a later date at the Georgia National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse in Frances’ honor.
