In Memory Of
Sue Logan - Tupelo, MS

Gwendolyn Sue Wright Logan (81) of Tupelo, Mississippi, passed away on January 16, 2024.

If there is a word that could sum up the full scope of Sue’s life it would be LEGACY. Through her gifts and talents, the Lord’s love was shown to many, the Gospel was shared and her family is a testament to her deep faith. Sue was a faithful member of Harrisburg Baptist Church and its Tutor/Weeks Sunday School class for the last 20 plus years. Church and ministry were of utmost importance to her as seen by the Logan family being faithful to attend worship services even on vacations. Together, she and Blue helped with Operation Christmas Child at every level for over 15 years. They collected items and filled boxes, worked at the local collection centers and even took a turn a few years at the regional collections center in Atlanta.

“Mama Sue” adored her grandchildren and could sit and talk with them for hours or let them win at a game gracefully. She loved her garden and knew the names of every flower. She cooked a mean pot of purple hull peas or butter beans and to this day, no one knows exactly how much seasoning went into them because she would use her hand as the measuring cup.

Sue is survived by her husband of 59 ½ years, Robert C. “Blue” Logan, Sr.; and two sons and their families, Robert Clark Logan, Jr (Helen) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Chadwick Wright Logan (Keyesy); five grandchildren, Trey (Abbi), Ty (Michaela), Wil (Anna), Hezekiah and Naomi; and one great-granddaughter, Karis Leigh.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476 Highway 9 North, Bruce, MS 38915, from 4:00–7;00 p.m. There will also be an additional visitation on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by the service from 11:00–12:00 p.m.
