We have had a busy couple of months, yet we have been able to see through the work of our hands how the Lord has been glorified, and this is just the greatest honor. In the midst of the storms and suffering in our own lives, we have hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:3-5) and have the privilege to share that hope with people who are suffering.

Thank you for being willing and available to serve when called upon. We pray that God will continue to open doors for us to be His hands and feet to those who are hurting.

“Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!”

Lebanon

We continue to support local churches and provide non-food items (NFIs). There are currently over 1 million internally displaced people (IDP) in Lebanon who have moved north towards Beirut to avoid the conflict.

As of late May:

• Humanitarian assistance provided to over 11,500 households; items include food, clean water, shelter, and medical supplies
• Over 155 metric tons of food distributed
• More than 1,400 patients treated through our mobile medical unit
• 19 DART staff deployed

Please continue to pray for this response. The Lord has opened doors for many to come to Him. We want to continue to support the physical needs of the people, and we are grateful for every opportunity we have to share Christ with those suffering in Lebanon.

Saipan

After Super Typhoon Sinlaku swept through the Northern Mariana Islands, individuals across Saipan were left facing severe flooding, damaged homes, and major disruptions to daily life. In the midst of the devastation, Samaritan's Purse deployed a DART and airlifted tons of emergency relief supplies aboard three flights of our 767 cargo plane to help meet urgent needs and bring hope to affected communities. This was a moderately sized DART and at the peak of the response 64 DART members were on the ground. One of the greatest immediate needs was access to clean water. Samaritan's Purse deployed two reverse osmosis (RO) water purification units and established water access points, providing safe drinking water to families impacted by the storm. Medical teams cared for patients through an Emergency Field Hospital Tier 1 outpatient facility, scheduled mobile medical unit (MMU) visits, and three Clinic Restart Module (CRM) facilities, all in partnership with local health authorities. Alongside these efforts, local churches became an important part of the response. Together, teams distributed essential relief supplies, such as generators, tarps, blankets, PUC lights, jerry cans, mosquito nets, brooms, and shovels to help families begin to recover.

We praise God that on this deployment there was an incredibly strong sense of unity among team members, resulting in precious fruit.

That spirit of unity was intentionally cultivated by DART leadership through a continual focus on how God was moving throughout the deployment and by creating space for team members to share their experiences during morning and evening team meetings. Many DART members join because they desire to be part of something significant—to participate in advancing God's Kingdom—and this deployment continually reinforced that calling.

As a result, Samaritan's Purse teams from various sectors, alongside Billy Graham Evangelistic Association chaplains, worked side by side sharing not only practical help but also the hope of the Gospel. Through those efforts many people came to know the Lord.

Democratic Republic of the Congo

An Ebola outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo strain emerged in eastern DRC's Ituri province in early April. On May 17, the WHO declared the outbreak a public health emergency due to concerns over rising cases, cross-border transmission, and the absence of an approved vaccine or treatment for this strain. In response, Samaritan's Purse established a small logistics team in Entebbe, Uganda, to begin supporting the transport of personnel and personal protective equipment (PPE) into the DRC. We have started treating patients at two Ebola Treatment Centers (ETC) in Bunia and Nyankunde, DRC. In addition, Samaritan's Purse is partnering with local hospitals to establish isolation and triage centers and working alongside regional teams to conduct community engagement efforts focused on prevention, health awareness, risk communication, and handwashing initiatives.

Please pray for our team on the ground, (country office staff, their families and DART members). Pray that the Lord will keep people safe and will provide open doors for continued travel into the DRC.
