Samaritan's Purse is grateful to Knoxville Wholesale Furniture for matching the gifts of WATE-TV viewers to support ongoing Hurricane Helene relief efforts. With your support, we are able to help in Jesus’ Name by assisting people still reeling from this storm.

In the immediate aftermath of Helene's vast devastation, Samaritan's Purse responded on an unprecedented scale across western North Carolina, eastern Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia. Our army of dedicated volunteers—nearly 30,000 in just the first month—cut downed trees, shoveled mud, tarped roofs, and shared the hope of the Gospel with over 6,000 weary homeowners. Most importantly, we praise God that over 350 men and women received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!

Since many roads and bridges were washed out across the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee, we also coordinated a fleet of helicopters to deliver essential aid to cut-off communities—including food, water, generators, heaters, and other vital supplies. We conducted 358 flights and made over 240 ground missions.

The Samaritan's Purse rebuild project is now kicking off in several counties across North Carolina and in Johnson County, Tennessee. We are constructing hundreds of new, stick-built homes for families whose houses were left uninhabitable due to the storm. We also are replacing hundreds of mobile homes. In addition, across an even wider area, we are providing campers, vehicles, and other important items to many families who are facing the bitter winter months in need.

As Samaritan's Purse helps to rebuild in North Carolina and Tennessee, please continue to pray for our response and for new opportunities to minister in this region for years to come.
