An Alabama homeowner encourages Samaritan’s Purse volunteers with her infectious love for Jesus.

“It sounded like a train,” Haley Nelson said. “I was shaking, and I was screaming.”

On March 25, a fierce tornado tore through Haley’s property in Ohatchee, Alabama, and destroyed three structures. Her home was also heavily damaged and several windows were blown out.

Samaritan’s Purse volunteers soon arrived at Haley’s home to help remove downed trees and debris, and put up tarps to waterproof her house. The volunteers wanted to be a blessing to Haley and her mother. But it was our volunteers who came away blessed…
