Samaritan’s Purse teams and ministry partners are offering various forms of relief to the Israeli people following the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attacks that claimed more than 1,200 lives. We are providing 21 new ambulances, including seven that are armor-plated to guard against sniper rounds and other attacks.

“Generations to come will remember this help,” Uri Shacham told the Samaritan’s Purse president. Shacham is chief of staff for Magen David Adom, whose ambulance corps is 80 percent staffed by volunteers.

We are also delivering boxes of food staples to families in Israel as they continue to grieve the loss of friends and family.

“As I talked with survivors, family members, and leaders, I was struck by the brazen brutality of Hamas,” said Samaritan’s Purse President Franklin Graham of his recent visit to Israel. “There is no other word to describe it than evil—pure evil.

As we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, let’s also lift up the families in Gaza who are living in desperate conditions, even as Hamas uses them as human shields and their hospitals as camouflage. Humanitarian access in Gaza has been limited, but Samaritan’s Purse has long-standing Christian partners there, and we are working hard to equip them to help their neighbors.”

Starting Christmas Eve, children affected by the war in Israel began receiving gift boxes prepared especially for them by Samaritan’s Purse. Twenty-four thousand of these boxes were airlifted from North Carolina earlier in December.

“The children there have had their world turned upside down,” said Graham on his official Facebook page. “Some have seen unimaginable horrors happen to their neighbors, friends, parents, and family members in the Hamas attack. Many tens of thousands are displaced. Pray for them, that God will use these gift boxes to bless them and their families…”

Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and for all of those affected by the war. Also pray for our teams and ministry partners as they serve as the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need.
