Daniel and Marcia Shull experienced answered prayers and received a new place to live through Samaritan’s Purse.
Daniel and Marcia Shull watched the rain fall for days before Hurricane Helene struck their community in Boone, North Carolina, in October 2024. When the storm passed through, floodwaters rose several feet inside their home. They eventually evacuated, and when they returned, they found a home that was unlivable.

The Shulls experienced God’s provision through Samaritan’s Purse after Hurricane Helene.
While sheltering in a nearby hotel, unsure where they would go next, they received an unexpected phone call from Samaritan’s Purse.
“My wife’s phone rang. It was Samaritan’s Purse,” Daniel said. “They said, ‘Your name had been mentioned to us that you lost your home. We just wanted to gift you a new home.’”
Their new modular home now sits feet above the ground and set in place by giant cranes.
