Responding to Flooded West Virginia

U.S. Disaster Relief teams are on their way to the hard-hit area to help hurting homeowners in Jesus' Name.

Disaster Relief teams deployed to West Virginia after many inches of rain dropped on Lewis and Upshur counties during severe storms across the region.

The deluge saturated large swaths of residential areas and the resulting floodwaters rushed into houses and businesses, washed out roads and bridges, and left many owners with waterlogged homes.

Samaritan’s Purse is working with local emergency management to determine the extent of the damages as we prepare to meet needs in the area.

Disaster Relief Unit #7–a tractor-trailor filled with relief supplies and equipment–and other vehicles are en route to establish a base of operations at Horizons Church Lost Creek at 8302 Mount Clare Road in Mount Clare.

VOLUNTEER IN WEST VIRGINIA

Volunteers can begin serving Sunday, June 26, at 12:30 p.m. to help homeowners remove waterlogged homes and clean up properties.
