Rivers and creeks in Nashville, Tennessee, were near their highest levels in more than a decade after torrential rainfall triggered flash flooding throughout the city. Scores of homes were damaged. Sadly, at least seven deaths have been reported.

We have staff members on the ground alongside one of our disaster relief units—a tractor trailer filled with equipment and supplies.

Samaritan’s Purse volunteers are going out to serve hurting homeowners in Jesus’ Name. They are assisting families with tasks such as removing waterlogged belongings and ripping out drywall and insulation.

Local emergency management officials had to rescue by boat about 130 people in Nashville, and dozens more rescues took place in several neighboring communities.

Please pray for the many people affected by this disaster. Pray also for our teams as they help families begin to move forward during this challenging time.
