Disaster Relief Unit #7 departed North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, early on April 23 as we prepare to respond in Wisconsin.

We are helping waterlogged areas of northeastern Wisconsin after powerful storms caused flooding.

Samaritan’s Purse is responding in Wisconsin as residents recover from widespread flooding after a week of powerful storms dropped heavy rains across the region.

Disaster Relief Unit #7 departed our Wilkes Office and Warehouse early on April 23 and is on its way to serve Wisconsin communities in and around New London, Shiocton, and Fremont.

Hundreds of homes in the region have sustained substantial flooding and other storm damage. Disaster relief teams will assist residents in cleaning up properties and clearing mud and debris out of homes. As volunteers serve these hurting families in Jesus’ Name, they will also have opportunities to share about the hope they have in Jesus Christ.

Our host church is Alliance Church at 2693 Grand Chute Boulevard in Appleton. Day volunteers can begin serving on Saturday, April 25, at 7:30 a.m., while overnight volunteers are welcome at this location beginning Sunday afternoon, April 26.

Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains are also deploying to the area to offer emotional support and spiritual encouragement from God’s Word.

Please pray for these hurting communities and for our teams as they serve residents.

SUPPORT
U.S. Disaster Relief & Rebuild A gift to U.S. Disaster Relief & Rebuild equips us to respond to natural disasters across our nation. Samaritan's Purse mobilizes and equips thousands of volunteers to provide emergency relief to survivors of floods, tornadoes, wildfires, and hurricanes. Wherever we go, we bring comfort and the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the aftermath of major storms, we often stay behind to rebuild houses for people with nowhere else to turn for help.
