In Memory Of
Audrey J Price - New Hartford, NY

Audrey J. Price, 92, of New Hartford, passed away February 26, 2024, after a brief illness.

She was born in Binghamton, New York, on November 5, 1931, the daughter of Harry and Lucie Pierson Schneider. She graduated from Binghamton Central High School, and was a music major at Fredonia State Teacher's College. On March 21, 1953, she married David C. Price.

Audrey loved her Lord and Savior, and tirelessly served Him until the end, following her life verse (Galations 2:20): “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” She and her husband ministered at Christian children's camps for several years. She led after-school neighborhood Bible clubs, taught Sunday school, and led women's prayer coffees.

An accomplished musician, Audrey was a pianist and band member at Bethel Baptist Church in Prospect for several years, was a cellist with the Con Amore Orchestra, and performed cello solos at churches and area Christian Women's Club luncheons. Audrey also volunteered her time at Camp of The Woods in Speculator, where she played with the concert band for many years. When arthritis limited her cello abilities, she helped provide child care for the camp guests.

Audrey is survived by four daughters, Linda (Tim) McFadden, Bainbridge, Pennsylvania, Martha (Douglas) Nichols, Stafford, New York, Deborah Price, Ventura, California, and Carole Valentine, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one son, David R Price, Yuba City, California; one sister-in-law, Thelma Schneider; 7 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, a daughter, Judith Ann; son-in-law, Michael Valentine; grandson-in-law, Josh Mott; grandson, Mark Nichols; two twin grandsons, Adam and Andrew Valentine; three brothers, Charles, Malven and Frederick; and a sister, Lois Gregory.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 20, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church, 5801 Weston Rd, New Hartford.
