Carolyn was a wife, mother, sister, and good friend to countless people. She was a graduate of Summerville High School. Class of 1958.

Over the years, she was a member of Summerville Presbyterian Church as well as Cornerstone Baptist Church. Carolyn was an accomplished watercolor artist, seamstress, music teacher, and piano player.

Carolyn was the recipient of assistance from Samaritan's Purse during a flood in South Carolina after a hurricane. They came and cleaned up and repaired the flood damage that occurred. Because of that help in her time of need, she wanted donations to go to U.S. Disaster Relief to help others receive the care she did years ago.
