Our family wishes to inform our friends, colleagues, associates and generations of children, parents, and grandparents that their beloved pediatrician, Dr. Dean Martin stepped into eternity on February 29, 2024, following a valiant battle against COVID-19! Rather than sad, Dr. Martin wants everyone to be joyous and celebrate a new beginning on Heaven's shore. Not goodbye, but au revoir until we meet again!
Born in Brooklyn. New York, his family moved and he grew up in Freeport, Long Island, where he lived only a few blocks from his high school sweetheart, Eleanor Young Smith, whom he later wed and they remained in love and were a dynamic duo for over 63 years! Their children, William “Brad” Martin and Dave Nelson Martin were blessed with grandchildren, Tobias; Kathryn; Audrey and Paige, all of whom impress, inspire, and greatly please their proud Grandma and Grandpa.
