In Memory Of
Michael S. McLamb - Dunn, NC

Michael Stuart McLamb, 72, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. Michael was born February 4, 1951, in Sampson County to the late William Lebrix (Buddy) and Annie Laura McLamb.

Michael was the devoted and loving husband of 51 years to his wife Gaile. He was the proud daddy of two sons, Neil and Adam, and he loved his two daughters-in-law, Melissa and Lauren. He was the loving poppa of four grandchildren, Michael R. and wife Brooke, Caitlynn, William, and Meghan. He loved them all deeply, and no one doubted his love for them, it was always apparent and he was a deeply loved husband, daddy, and poppa.

Michael was a 1973 graduate of Campbell College (before it was a university) and was very proud of the fact that both his sons, one of his grandchildren, and one of his daughters-in-law graduated from Campbell University as well. He was a big supporter of the school, and thoroughly enjoyed Fighting Camels football and basketball games.

Michael was a CPA and worked in government contracting for over 30 years. He was a hard worker and continued that hard work after retirement doing things he enjoyed outside. Michael had a love for nature and animals. Every morning, he would feed his goats, squirrels, and even the fish in the ponds on his property, and the property of one of his sons who lived beside him.

Michael also enjoyed traveling with his wife and other family members. He and Gaile were always looking forward to their next trip. He had visited all 50 states. One of his favorite locations was Arizona. They loved “counting the miles” on the rental vehicles while they were gone and telling others about it when they got home.

Michael was a humble, unselfish man of utmost integrity. He enjoyed helping others. He was a quiet, but immensely compassionate man. He never needed any pats on the back for anything he did, and most people had no idea what he did for others.

Michael Stuart McLamb was a man who left a lasting impression in this world. The impact he had on everyone he loved will live on. He will be greatly missed.
