God worked through Samaritan’s Purse in tremendous ways in 2018. We provided relief to victims of natural disasters in the U.S. and abroad, offered medical care in dozens of mission hospitals, rebuilt homes of persecuted Christians, facilitated lifesaving surgeries for children, and presented shoebox gifts and the Gospel to millions of kids. Samaritan’s Purse volunteers remove a waterlogged ceiling from a home in Wilmington, North Carolina, that was hard-hit by Hurricane Florence.
Our Nehemiah Project has rebuilt nearly 800 homes for persecuted Christians on the Nineveh Plains during this year.
Chainsaw work was a major need after Hurricane Michael slammed into the Florida Panhandle and toppled trees onto many homes.
We worked with local ministry partners in Guatemala after Volcano Fuego erupted and forced thousands of residents to flee and damaged or destroyed more than 900 homes.
More than 800,000 displaced Rohingya people crammed into Kutupalong refugee camp in Bangladesh. Samaritan’s Purse set up a diphtheria treatment center in the camp to provide lifesaving treatment.

Through our education project in the Tondo slums just outside of Manila, the Philippines, we are training teachers and providing backpacks and school supplies for children.
Through our Texas rebuild project, Pearl and Carlos Escamilla and hundreds of others were able to return home after Hurricane Harvey.
George and Arva Dorsey were among those Texans whose homes were restored by our volunteers in the wake of Hurricane Harvey's destruction.
We use our DC-3 aircraft in South Sudan to transport personnel and relief supplies such as shelter materials; water, sanitation, and hygiene supplies; and other essentials to help people in dire need throughout the region. We also carry cleft lip patients to the capital, Juba, for life-changing surgeries.
Our cleft lip/palette surgical teams provided life-changing procedures for dozens of people in South Sudan.
After torrential rainfall devastated the island of Kauai, Hawaii, we sent relief supplies and personnel aboard our DC-8 to help hurting communities.
Our DC-8 cargo jet made three flights to the Pacific island of Saipan to deliver emergency relief supplies to hurting people devastated by powerful Typhoon Yutu.
Our teams also helped tarp damaged homes in Saipan to help protect families from the elements.
Water buffalo help transport Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts to an unreached people group village in the Philippines.
Children from an unreached people group in Mongolia learn about God through The Greatest Journey discipleship course.
Franklin Graham helped share the love of Jesus during an Operation Christmas Child shoebox distribution in Dominican Republic.
Children in Mexico experienced the love of Christ through Gospel presentations and Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts distributed by church leaders like Pastor José Benítez.
Through Operation Christmas Child, children in need in Togo were blessed with Good News and great joy.
The Greatest Journey 12-lesson discipleship program helps shoebox recipients in Togo understand how to follow and serve Jesus Christ.
Military couples found hope and healing this year in wilderness Alaska as they participated in Operation Heal Our Patriots.
Retired military chaplains led Biblically-based marriage enrichment classes throughout the week at Samaritan Lodge Alaska.
Nearly 150 couples visited Samaritan Lodge Alaska for Operation Heal Our Patriots this year, and many lives and marriages were transformed by the power of the Gospel.
Samaritan’s Purse completed its 29th building project in Alaska with a new church facility for Mountain Village Covenant Church.

Through our World Medical Mission Post-Residency program, physicians like Dr. Samantha Conroy are helping to provide excellent medical care in Jesus' Name at Kenya's Kijabe Hospital.
