After several powerful storms devastated more than half a dozen states, Samaritan’s Purse responded to five locations to help people in need. One of those locations is Louisville, Miss., where an EF-4 tornado left massive destruction. Volunteers are working with Samaritan’s Purse in Louisville to bring hope to survivors.
Solace After the Storm
The EF 4-twister left a wide path of destruction, knocking down trees and houses and causing devastation throughout Winston County.
Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are helping in Mississippi as well as our sites in Arkansas, Alabama, and Kansas.
Our teams work alongside chaplains from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Rapid Response team.
Prayer is a vital part of every response. At the host church, before work begins, and with homeowners.
Homeowners are presented with a Bible signed by all the volunteers who worked on their house.
