Samaritan’s Purse Responds to Severe Storms

This spring has proven to be difficult for thousands of U.S. families as severe weather systems has torn through the country. Hundreds of tornadoes and widespread flooding have left death and injury in their wake, as well as devastation to homes, schools, and businesses.

Samaritan’s Purse staff and volunteers remain on the ground working in Michigan and in two locations in Oklahoma. We also deployed and served homeowners after tornadoes in Missouri and Ohio.

In Michigan, our teams are mudding out homes throughout the Detroit metropolitan area that were hard-hit by flooding after nearly four inches of rain fell in just a few hours. We're also responding to severe flooding around Tulsa and Muskogee in Oklahoma.

In both Jefferson City, Missouri, and Dayton, Ohio, we deployed in the wake of recent tornadoes. We helped homeowners salvage belongings, tarp damaged roofs, and cut through downed trees.

Latest: In Catawba County, North Carolina, we are assisting homeowners where communities experienced flooding after recent heavy rains.

Please pray for the people suffering in the aftermath of these terrible storms. Pray for our teams as they serve in Jesus’ Name and demonstrate His love and compassion.
