For years, Samaritan’s Purse World Medical Mission has been sending surgical teams across the world to bring healing to remote communities in Jesus’ Name. Now, we are sending teams of dentists to do the same.

World Medical Mission, the medical arm of Samaritan’s Purse, recently conducted its first dentistry team in El Salvador, restoring bright smiles and spreading the eternal hope of Jesus Christ to dozens of Salvadorans. Our dentists cleaned, extracted, and filled teeth for underserved communities throughout the Central American country to show God’s love to people in need.

“The way he restored my tooth, reminded me that God has been restoring me,” said one patient who received care from our team.

“As followers of Jesus, we need to never forget that why we do what we do is because He loved us first, so we are called to love as well,” said Peter Rodriguez, a registered nurse and volunteer chaplain on the team.

Please pray for our dentistry teams as we restore smiles to people around the world in Jesus’ Name.

Send Surgery Teams to Mission Hospitals Many mission hospitals lack the specialized medical personnel and resources to perform complex surgical procedures that are considered routine in developed nations. Through our Specialty Teams program, short-term volunteer teams of Christian surgeons and nurses provide specialized training and equipment to our World Medical Mission hospital partners. The specialty fields include orthopedics, dentistry, obstetric fistula, and hydrocephalus-related neurosurgery.
